January Pre-orders update ~ Ordered and Wished

It’s been two weeks since I last posted something.  *sigh*  Long story short, USB key failed with three weeks worth of homework in it, and life got the better of me.  I’ll leave it at that.

Anyways, I hope to be able to make at least two posts every week from now on.  Maybe even include some of my school work in the future.  Anyways, here’s my January edition of what I’m ordering…not as exciting as what it used to be.  Continue reading ‘January Pre-orders update ~ Ordered and Wished’

Broken Pegs

They are every figure collector’s worst nightmare.  More so if you collect scaled figures.  We trust that the sculptors/figure manufacturers does a great job with every release, not only with the sculpt and paint job, but also the base and the tiny pegs that are the difference between a figure standing upright and a figure face planting after falling 5 feet from where she was displayed.  This thought becomes even more scary with the popularity of figures standing on one leg.  It’s game over if the peg breaks.  And that’s exactly what happened here. First Anniversary Winner…

Yuki Nagato!  I would like to thank everyone for their “congratulations” (for a lack of a better word that I can think of now).  The answer to my blog’s 1st anniversary question is Yuki Nagato.  Congratulations to enrius and anonymou_object who gets to duke it out one more time for the prize because both of them are long-term readers and got the same tie-breaker of seven — which is wrong and would’ve gotten its ass whopped by Miki. GSC Hatsune Miku CM Ver.

Good Smile Company was one of the first figure manufacturer to capitalize on the popularity of Hatsune Miku, the mascot for Yamaha’s “Vocaloid” music synthesizer program.  Many companies followed suit soon after, but Good Smile Company’s Hatsune Miku remains as one of the most popular figure to be released for the Vocaloid diva — seeing two re-releases in 2009.  Their original release captured Miku’s charm without the robotic voice.  It couldn’t get any better.  Could it?

It did when GSC teased us with this Hatsune Miku commercial.  Soon after, they announced that she’ll be available for sale as a WonFes/Good Smile online shop exclusive.  Her price, surprisingly, is ¥1,000 lower than the regular release.  Lovely! Continue reading ‘GSC Hatsune Miku CM Ver.’

THE IDOLM@STER MASTER SPECIAL 961 ~ OVERMASTER CD

I just received this CD last week and I’m loving it.  Highly recommended for Idolm@ster fans, especially if your favourite girl is Miki.  Unlike other CDs from the Idolm@ster series, the songs in this CD are more contemporary, which is a real plus for those (like myself) who don’t like their overly irritating 5 year old voices.
